Event Preview
Two career-altering ladder matches are set for Money in the Bank this weekend, with the winners from both the men’s and women’s events likely to become champions over the next 12 months.
Beginning with the men’s match, there is a fascinating outlook, with most of the competitors locked in storylines with other superstars. That could ensure that Seth Rollins is a very weak favorite. Rollins has recently aligned with Paul Heyman, and both CM Punk and Roman Reigns could cost him his chances of winning this match.
A heel winner of the match is always more likely, meaning that LA Knight and Penta can be ruled out. Therefore, a standout choice looks to be Solo Sikoa, who has been weakly booked since losing to Reigns on Raw’s Netflix debut. Success at MITB could get him back on track, and a potential storyline surrounding a cash-in on his cousin Jey Uso writes itself.

The women’s Money in the Bank ladder match is stacked this year, and chances can be given to all six competitors. However, I would feel Naomi would be an underwhelming winner, and Rhea Ripley probably needs some time away from the title picture.
Recent NXT call-ups Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia both hold outside chances, but the preference is for another recent star who has arrived on the red brand. However, Roxanne Perez’s alignment with the Judgement Day could be completed this weekend, as a win would almost certainly lead to Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio leaving the group, and turning face in the process.
Elsewhere on the card, John Cena teams up with Logan Paul to take on Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight champion, Jey Uso. The heels could get the win, which could lead to a rematch between Cena and Rhodes in Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Becky Lynch vs. Lyra Valkyria has the ability to steal the show, but the preference is for the Irish star to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
